A couple of proofreading nitpicks in the first paragraph: you've got "bids" for "birds", and you should have "bringing with them" since "Crusades" is plural.
It would also be helpful to include an orienting sentence about the language family that Latvian belongs to, and maybe even a map.

Date: 2022-01-03 05:08 am (UTC)It has been surprisingly difficult to find what I would want to see on a map; I can find the information I want for the wrong time period (eg. this 19th century map: https://lv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latvie%C5%A1u_valoda#/media/Att%C4%93ls:Julius_D%C3%B6ring,_Tafel_I,_Karte_des_lettischen_Sprachgebiets_ca1860.jpg), but not in the 16th century. I'll need to think it over some more.
